Description

ADR is the European agreement governing the transport of dangerous goods by road, setting rules for how they must be classified, packaged, labelled, and loaded, and what training and equipment the vehicle and driver need. Exporters shipping hazardous materials by road within or through Europe must comply with it for every consignment. Description

An Approved Exporter Origin Declaration is a preferential origin statement that a customs-authorised "approved exporter" can print directly on the commercial invoice or another commercial document, instead of applying for a separate EUR.1 Certificate for each shipment. Exporters need prior approval from their customs authority to use this simplification, but once approved they can self-certify origin for repeat shipments without per-shipment certification. Description

It is required for many categories of products sold in the European Economic Area, including electronics, machinery, toys, and medical devices, and applies regardless of where the product was manufactured. In most cases CE marking relies on the manufacturer's own self-declaration, supported by a Declaration of Conformity, rather than mandatory third-party certification.
